About Me

Me, circa today Here I Am Today

Time sure does change a person, doesn’t it? The photo on the front page was taken right around Y2K (remember that?). This is me today, now that Alaska has sunk its hooks deep in me.

I discovered the joy of writing software in the fall of ’90, three years after my first session at a computer. I started my first professional job in the field about five or six years after that.

I couldn’t be happier. There’s a wonderful satisfaction to be found in bringing an idea to life on the screen. Little else compares.

A Rebel with a Cause

I’ve also always been a bit of a rebel. Not too much, though, not in a troublesome sort of way. Quietly. More in a way that insists that authority justify its self-proclaimed dominion over us, especially when that authority becomes troublesome itself.

I’m always eager to challenge the status quo, to push and find new boundaries. This is why the IResist project appeals to me so deeply—it’s on the cutting edge of a new world we’re entering into. It also appeals to my long-abiding desire to help whomever I can, however I can.

The Cause

This is a wonderful opportunity to bring my decades of professional experience to bear toward both of these ends: questioning established norms, all the while helping others. It’s a perfect arrangement.

I’m working hard to earn your trust and your friendship. Join me as together we bring this good project to light.

Thank you.
